We are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst (Senior). As a Business Analyst, you'll be responsible for understanding and analyzing business requirements, designing and implementing IT solutions, managing and tracking projects, communicating with stakeholders, and keeping up with the latest trends and technologies. This position also plays a vital role in bridging the gap between the business and the technical personnel within a project team, helping the company achieve its goals. The candidate must have a deep understanding of big data and product development technologies. Responsibilities: Gather, Analyze, and Document business requirements (functional and non-functional). Map and document business processes using diagramming tools and notations to create clear and concise visualizations that accurately represent the sequence of steps, decision points, and roles involved in each process. Expertise in Data - Leverages appropriate types of data and/or metrics, determines alignment with business needs, and whether to integrate additional data. Identifies and takes steps to address gaps and/or quality issues in data. Data Analysis. Determines appropriate analytical tools and techniques to address business questions, executes analyses, and interprets results with actionable recommendations. Partner with cross-functional teams to assess the impact of model changes on associated systems and processes. Design and implement solutions. You may be involved in designing and implementing solutions to improve business processes, such as new software systems or workflows. Maintain communication with stakeholders, the development team, the QA team, and end users throughout the project development lifecycle. Gather and analyze user feedback on product quality through surveys, interviews, and usability testing. Test and validate solutions. This involves working with the QA team to ensure that solutions meet the specified requirements. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of solutions. This involves tracking the performance of solutions and making recommendations for improvement. Identifying and assessing risks to projects and initiatives. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience as a business analyst, design and implementation, and quality control of software applications (in a similar position at a software development company). Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or another relevant discipline is a plus. Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) phases, including planning, requirements gathering and analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Experience defining and executing against both short and long-term roadmap strategies Experience in requirements gathering and analysis. Top-notch data analysis skills; ability to analyze business information and draw accurate conclusions. Understanding of relational databases: This includes understanding of data structures, queries (SQL), and data manipulation in relational database management systems (RDBMS). In addition, ability to develop ER- diagrams. Strong technical writing, editing, and formatting skills with experience building and collaborating on documentation including Use Cases, and functional and non-functional requirements to clearly define system behavior and expectations. Proficiency in data visualization tools: This includes the ability to use software like Power BI, Tableau, or other similar tools to create clear, concise, and informative charts, graphs, and diagrams to communicate data insights and trends. These visualizations should effectively communicate complex data in a way that is easily understood by both technical and non-technical audiences. Using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for basic data visualization is also acceptable Processes/software modeling tools and notations. This includes proficiency in using tools like Miro, draw.io, or other diagramming software. UML/BPMN. The ability to utilize standard modeling notations such as UML and BPMN is essential for effectively representing business processes and software functionality. Possesses strong analytical, problem-solving, and evaluative skills. Proven project coordination and management skills. Demonstrable ability to work independently, as well as collaborate and partner in a team environment with geographically dispersed peers. Constantly learns from both success and failure and is keen on experimenting with emerging technologies. Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical and business concepts, manage tradeoffs, and evaluate opportunistic new ideas. An understanding of API design principles. This includes knowledge of best practices for designing clear, concise, and well-documented APIs that facilitate efficient communication and integration between different systems. As a plus to understanding asynchronous integrations. This includes a basic understanding of how asynchronous communication patterns are used to integrate different systems without blocking each other.
